Emergency Care
At CHRISTUS Schumpert, we provide you with emergency care that is prompt, efficient and effective.
The emergency departments of CHRISTUS Schumpert-St. Mary Place and CHRISTUS Schumpert-Highland are staffed 24 hours a day by highly trained physicians, nurses and support staff. When you have a medical emergency, we are here for you.
If an injury or illness is serious or life-threatening, call 911, if it is available in your area. EMS technicians can provide emergency response during transport. When time is critical to survival, EMS technicians will take you to the nearest hospital that can handle the problem. In case of major emergencies, especially those involving real or suspected heart attack or stroke, it is of critical importance to reach the nearest emergency department quickly. If the injury or illness is not life-threatening, call your doctor for advice about going to the hospital.
